Disarming a mobilizer system on a vauxhall Astra 1995?

Good morning all,

I have just replaced all barrals including the ignition on a vauxhall astra merit 1.4 1995, for a single mother friend of mine.

It would cost her £100.00 to have the system programed. the key turns over the car, however, no go on the sarting. Can anyone give advice on where to go and what to do. I did have a thought, run a wire from the ecu unit to the battery. This in turn may work....I think the price of programing is diabolical.
