how can I fix my pioneer cld-v860 laser disc karaoke machine?

I have two of these machines and am trying to make one good one. One went trhough a power surge and refuses to power up. Replaced the fuse, but still no power. Suspect a bad power supply board. The other I bought for parts. It powers up but cd tray pops open at power on and repeats this process whenever I close the tray. If I can figure out how to manually open the ld tray, I would be able to switch the power supply boards.

To keep the tray open pull the plug in the open possition.

Can you help me with my cld-v860? Everything seems to work but the video. I've tried connecting it directly to the tv with no luck. Is this worth fixing??
