Mend Black & Decker GL720 Motor Second Time

Black & Decker GL 720 - Motor running but spool not turning?

This is the second time this happened after only a few hours of use (i.e. this is the replacement strimmer). Motor is running but the spool is not turning. What is the problem, how can it be stopped? The most unreliable strimmer I ever had.

Happened to me last weekend, took it apart and found belt connecting motor cog to strimmer cog snapped. Same principle as a fan belt on a car

The flexible drive that connects the motor to the spool has snapped, or maybe the motor has come loose, causing it to disconnect.
