I have a burner that needs to be reset after it has run and reached temp. Then when the water cools it needs reset to get it going again. any ideas how to fix this?

Good comment, John the boilerman.....if he's resetting the boiler reset rather than the lockout it probably means that the flue temperature is too high due to needing a decoke. We'll probably never know. Cheers John

A bit vague, this one....I suggest that the coil that opens the fuel valve in the oil pump could be faulty, as its one of the causes that could be temperature related...however there are other reasons, including a possible carbon build up inside the boiler.

Hi, when you say the boiler needs to be reset. Do you mean that you press the burner reset button (red light) or do you reset the thermostat which is next to or on the boiler?
