I have exactly the same problem and there is no lever there ? I'm sick to death of crawling about in my boot - the picture in the manual isn't very clear ! I've now pressed the locking system that much on my key fob the passenger door will ony open now when you press the unlock button twice ! Someone, somewhere must know what's going on with these blasted boots ! Please help

See my question above this one....any ideas for when the lever isn't there? - is it worth shorting the wires from the switch in the boot handle? - methinks that's the next option...

Climb into the boot via the back seats...you should see a lever on the lock mechanism that you tug to one side to open the boot.
