Thetford C200 CWE toilet will not flush?

Please could someone help?
we have just bought our first caravan
and i can not get the toilet to flush
i have checked and replaced the fuse which was melted , the is no light showing dim ect
removed the cover and checked wiring to switch but know run out of options
any help will be greatfull ?????
