Sikuda Crosser 125 - no spark?

I have just purchased a Sikuda Crosser 125GY-A. It had been stolen and the ignition switch/barrel is missing; I have hot wired the ignition and all lights are working. There is no spark and I have discovered that the cut out switch on the side stand was dangling in the breeze.
Can this cut out switch be bypassed?
Are there any other reasons why there is no spark?
Are there any other cut out switches (except the engine kill switch) that I should know about?
