How do I replace the power cable in my Dyson DC05?

The best thing to do with a Dyson is to phone their helpline 0870 5275104 and for £63 ish they will come to you and change anything that needs changing.
I have got a DC04 and have had it for 10 years . I called them out about 5 years ago to fix the power lead,they done that and whatever else was needed.I called them out again about 2 weeks ago because some plastic parts had broken, a guy came at 8 o'clock in the morning and totally stripped my dyson down. He replaced all the broken parts and even fitted a new motor. My dyson now is like new and I even got another years warranty on it included in the price. The only thing that the repairer didn't have was a new flexi hose but I was sent one 2 days later in the post.
Dyson are definately the best vacuum's and their service is second to none !!!
