my washing mashine keeps missing its wash cycle?

sounds like your timer's shot , to get to it , you'll have to remove the back of the top of the washer if it's an upright (toploader). this is usually held on by a few screws in the front trim piece then you'll have to remove the timer knob , (held on by a screw in the middle of the dial) after that it's easy and you can go to an on-line appiance site type in your make and model of your washer , and you might have to enter the# on the timer good luck!
