in the trade we use a don carlos knife, but a thin strong scraper will do. if internally beaded then tap scraper inbetween bead and frame and push handle of scraper towards frame, n.b. some types of beading are harder to get out and two scrapers may be necessary.
if externally beaded and the window has a gasket (rubber seal) inbetween the frame and the glass, then this has to be removed first. place the scraper inbetween the gasket and the frame and lift out.
from the outside push the glass into the back of the frame and take the beads out. replace the glass then the beads then the gasket.
