Mend Whale Elite Tap Replacing Water

Whale elite tap installation?

I'm replacing a Whale Elite tap in my caravan but I can't get the water pipes out of the bottom of the existing tap. Does anyone know whether they are push on/pull off? If so they seem very tight.

push the small collar up towards the tap this will release the plastic pipe
this small collar is connected to the mechanism that grasps the pipe
