duel flush toilet faults?

I have a duel flush toilet and the plastic inlet valve broke.
Have tried everywhere to get a repcement but cannot find one?
It is a bottom inlet type cystern.
I also bought a replacement float but this allows water to flow all the time and as the float rises it does not cut off.
I have moved the adjustment both ways but it does not do a thing?
