How can I remove small chips from the rim of Crystal wine goblets?

I have several crystal wine goblets with small chips around the rim (which makes sharp edges when drinking out of them).

How can I remove or repair these chips?

I have tried using some fine wet and dry paper on a flat surface with oil and gently using a circular motion with the glass against it lip down. Didn't work, but now the glass is chipped all around the rim evenly but I wouldn't drink out of it

There are professionals who grind chips from rims of glassware, cut glass bowls, etc. They sometimes go to larger antique shows, set up and actually do it there. You might try contacting local antique dealers to inquire if there is anyone in your area that does it.

We used to have a hardware store locally which would grind down glasses and smooth away the chip for very little money. Ask your local hardware stores.

I don't know! Am looking for the same advice.

Presently thinking of checking a hardware store for
some kind of super strong sandpaper or a diamond
grinding wheel. I wouldn't use the wheel on a drill, but
use it manually to smooth out the chips.

The other thought is to take it to a glass blower.
It might be possible to heat the chip of the goblet
so that it melts. Wouldn't try this myself as
believe the goblet would crack if not done right.
