is a Electronic diesel control which it mounted to the engine for fuel supplying and send information signals for all sensors

Well a search on Google found lots of references to EDC like East Devon Council etc etc... but...

Given it's a Lorry area it probably means
Electronic Diesel Control (engine management for diesel engines)
