why does my renault laguna make a strange noise?

Wheel bearing is worn on which ever side you can hear the drone noise. Jack up the car, hold the wheel top and bottom and rock, repeat for side to side movement any wobble in both directions bearing has gone .Spin the wheel and listen for any roughness in the bearing races
Repeat the above tests for the other 3 remaining wheels. these should pass the test,no roughness or excessive play
