Sigma 50-500 lens collar?

hi
the tripod collar on my sigma 50-500 lens keeps sticking ,would like to remove collar for cleaning,
could anyone help on how to remove

All you need to do is loosten the knob that keeps it tight, now turn the colar around on the lens while gently pulling on the colar. There is a 'magic' place in the revolution where it will just slide off. ;-)
