Mend Samsung B1215J Machine Wash Model

What does Samsung washing machine code Ec mean?

Samsung Big Wash model B1215J has just completed a wash fine, then on pressing the open door button, there was a loud pop and flash of light. Now, the programme selector when turned to certain programmes causes an error message Ec. There's also a constant low humming noise. What do I need to replace?
