Ok Peter, You cannot omit a tamper circuit on a panel. Your manual is referring to the zone which has to be pre-programmed as Omit Permit by the installing engineer. If you know the engineering code which i doubt, you could put the alarm into a state of engineering, meaning you could then work on the system. Even if you managed to do this, and by accident you short out the aux wires, oh dear guess what, the Scantronic 9800 and other panels in that range dosent have fuses, which is the very reason why you should call an engineer.
