Mend Vue VUE7588 Portable Dvd Discs

how can I fix my vue7588?

I have a portable dvd model number is VUE7588, it was playing discs fine until someone tried to hook it up thru the tv. Not it says bad disc and wont read any dvd's. It plays cds though, any ideas?
