Mend Broksonic Dvd Vcr Display

The dvd door won't open/close on my combo Broksonic dvd/vcr player?

The display is currently reading vcr mode. So when I'm attempting to use the dvd portion of the player it will no longer display dvd. There is a dvd currently in there that I need to remove so that I can return it to Blockbuster. I was hoping that there is a manual way of getting it out.

I had the same problem too. I even brought a new dvd player but loved the combo so I kept it. I just plugged it in after it had been unplugged awhile and like magic after I pressed eject it open! YEA!
