Mend Proline Dishwasher Years Problem

How can I mend my dishwasher door, it wont shut?

My Proline dishwasher which is really good and I have had for many years has a problem with the door. It just wont shut. I am not aware of anything being put on it but who knows! I must find a way of mending it because I cannot afford a new one. The rest of works fine. Please help

if you switch the machine on with the door open does it start up?.if it does then it means the door latch is in the closed possition and need pulling back to open possition.could also be a faulty/broken latch.
