Mend Sharp ER-4915

My ER-4915 I can't remove validation?

This register was turned off in 2005, I recently tried to reactivate it, but when I turn it on it says CLOSEd, so I tried to press the A B C & D buttons to log on as a cashier. The alarm sounds, and the light on validate is on and it won't let me preform any functions. How do I turn the validate feature off!

Hi.
You have left it off for too long. It has lost everything and cannot be used until it has had a new battery fitted, then fully RAM cleared and all system and user programming setup. It would be best to take it to a dealer.
