Mend Hotpoint CTD00P Tumble Dryer Squeaking Belt

Dryer is making bad squeaking noise when reversing?

Hotpoint CTD00P Condenser tumble dryer.
Squeaking badley,especialy when changing direction.
Looked at motor at back,seems O-K on normal running,
seems to be a sound like the belt or pulley is slipping,
does this make sense? Dryer bought Jan 2006
Anybody any suggestions?
