Xantia 1.9 td?

After going though a large puddle at low speed and stalling in the my xantia 1.9td in the middle, I have now dreid it out and it running again at all speeds. however it has become very smokey and is running sligthly unevenly. I have check the timing belt,air filler and the turbo. I think theres water somewhere, any ideas. thanks martyn
