does anyone know whats wrong with it wont start the wipers stay on as soon as you press start button as do the lights and indicators cant stop this till i disconnect battery electrical fault shown on dash as is service light never happened before 1 night heavy rain next morning this?!!!
I have the same problem with my 04 megane and am awaiting the results from the garage will let you know what it turns up but the man from the AA seems to think it could be the power relay to the immobiliser. Also just to note that it is likely as with mine that all the wipers etc being on will have drained your battery if this is the case the car may need reprogramming!!! which i know is expensive!!!!

i have a renault megane coupe 2000 model, it was running ok then all of a sudden it wont start, if i bump it then it fires up but as soon as i turn it off it wont start again

Seems that water gets into fusebox of early cars and causes havoc. Renault has a sealing kit. Later cars not affected.
