having had no problems since we bought it, when switched on couple of days ago the unit is dead, I checked the plug wiring & fuse both O.K, any ideas?....last time worked perfect....kev
move the flexible hose out and note a small hole that goes into the on/off switch. Put a screwdriver through the hole to push the plastic back and the on/off buttton can be lifted off. Then remove the phillips screw that holds the switch assembly to the cleaner. The power lead and switch can then be pulled out.

Have a look in a few of the other questions relating to the DC04. I have just had to repair my cable which had broken down inside, just as it enters the casing. There is some good advice regarding removing the switch housings.
