Problem with tumble dryer?

I have a White Knight 767 Electric Dryer 6kg capacity, I put load in machine to dry and machine appeared not to be working, checked belt... etc but on further investigation the dryer when turned on made a humming noise like elements warming up a stopping due to fuse blowing???? any thoughts???
