Mend Hotpoint Appliance Freezer Power

hotpoint fridege freezer?

when my fridge light goes off, the fridge also goes off.
to reset it i need to turn the fridge off for 10 mins plus.
i then have to turn the bulb in the fridge to restart it.
any help on where the problem is?????
