how do i get my 1998 mondeo glx td started?

i have a 1.8td glx mondeo and it wont start i have put new heater plugs on and a new starter motor but it still wont start i have had it going but when it is cold it wont go once it kicked up and started it goes all day fine and now i am stuck someone said it could be compression ? help me please before i kick it to death thankyou

me too having this problem too cold got no chance of starting it changed glow plugs still no luck i was told it will be the relay for the heater plugs so i.ve bought one of them but dont know where the old one is located.

are you sure the heater plug relay is working ie power to the heater plugs for approx 20 sec when you turn the ignition on as these have a tendancy to burn out
