You have a virus on your PC.
You need to run an anti-virus program to clean your PC.

AVAST Home Edition is free. With no trial period.
Does not use up PC resources like the others.

Then try to first download and install a new copy from Microsoft.

If that does not work then you will have to remove the old copy and then install the new version.
You risk losing all your old contacts though.
- Go to 'control panel'
- then 'add/remove program'
- remove 'msn' and 'messenger'

Sounds to me like you have a Virus or some sort of Trojan Malware that you need to clean. Give your Comp a Full Virus Scan, Spyware Scan etc using Spybot Search and Destroy, Superantispyware and a good clean out and registry clean out with CCleaner helps too.
