Mend Hotpoint Tumble Dryer Heating Element Cuts Out

Hotpoint Tumble dryer?

I have a hotpoint tuble dryer that works for about 5min and then it cuts out. The heating element seems to be working ok. If you hold the on/off switch in it will work. Any idea what might be wrong?
