Wiring for rotary mower?

I have been given a motor (240 V single phase) from a performance plus rotary mower together with a capacitor (10 MF). I would like to use this motor, but don't know how to connect it. There are three wires coming out of the motor, Red, Black and Yellow. The resistance readings between them are - Red to Black 3.9 Ohms, Black to Yellow 15.6 Ohms and (obviously) Red to Yellow 19.5 Ohms. Can anyone tell me how to wire in the capacitor. Any help gratefully received.
