Servis m3022 door not detecting as closed?

I recently tried to shut the door and it wouldnt even latch shut (and more worryingly decided to wash while the door was wide open) eventually i managed to persuade the door to shut, where it locked and continued washing, a few washes later the door closes and latches but refuses to lock or wash. I just worried i have broken it and since ive just been made redundant i have no cash for a repair let alone a new machine. any thoughts on what im looking for to fix? im used to fixing pc's not washing machines lol.
