jaguar cd stacking unit?

i have a genuine jaguar stacking unit in the boot of my xkr, there seems to be no power to the unit, when i press cd on the dash nothing happens, i have slid back the door on the stacking unit and pressed the blue button, again ingintion on or off nothing happens, any ideas ?
