I've blown a switch or relay on the side of the motor. Seems that water leaked onto switch/relay (not sure what it is) and it's blown. Have removed it to replace with new one but can't find it on spares list. The mains connect to it, plus a couple of other wires (probably thermostat) and it had 3 pin socket which connects to the motor.
If the relay fixes to compressor by 3 small pins(like a plug) try out ukwhitegoods.co.uk they have a Danfoss relay(picture) which might fit £14 inc post
