HOW CAN I FIX MY GOODMANS GTV42P4 PLASMA TV?

goodmans use different pdp manufacturers lg samsung and panasonic sound no pic is a very common problem and realy needs to be looked at by someone who can diagnose the problem as it could be a y buffer, xsus or ysus board failed or if you are competant remove the rear cover anc check all fuses if none are open circuit suspect the y buffers situated on the left hand side (usually two off upper and lower) you could carefully remove them one at a time (while the set is of) switch on to show culprit board (beware as the clips that hold the ribbon cables are quite fragile also ensure the ribbon is fully seated when replacing (these boards ars static sensitive and you should wear a grounding strap available from maplin and some computer shops) hope this helps and good luck

i have the same tv with the same problem. i have just had a quote to fix it as the main circuit board has gone. it is going to cost £350 fitted. The cheapest circuit board found was £285. The rest is for fitting.
