i checked the stats on one ifound power going in and out
on the other one power going in but not going out
no resettable pin to press

has it got 2 stats mounted to the back of the heater cartridge?.both of these are normally closed contacts and sometimes one has a resettable pin you can press (not on all models).test these stats with a multimeter and make sure there is a circuit through both of them.
