Sometimes the rubber membrane that sits underneath the keyboard and houses the navigation buttons can be replaced instead of the whole handset, it just depends on how much damage has been inflicted. These membranes cost less than £10 and you would probably pay £15 - 20 to have a mobile phone repair shop carry out the work.
