tapping of engine, Vauxhall Zafira 1.6?

its the flap in the inlet manifold quite common on the 1.6 engine i myself have changed 4 or 5

Hi there it is possible that it could be the water pump that needs changing , becuase mine was doing the same had a constant tapping , and just because there isnt any sign of a water leak that doesnt mean that it cant be, usualy when you have water pump replaced they fit a cam belt kit at the same time as they are rught on top of each other.

The problem with your car will be the Hydraulic Lifters or excessive cam wear. It will be a professional repair really and quite expensive. Usually caused by not enough oil changes or incorrect oil being used.
