Fan direction?

We also have this infamous unit and it has shown similar faults to all of those mentioned before. However, the last guy came out and said the fan was on backwards!! It worked for a while now the fridge is warm again. What i want to ask is, should the fan blow cold air towards the fridge, or away from it? If you look at the fan, it looks as if it should blow towards the back of the fridge, but common sense says it should blow towards the front and therefore, into the vent and up to the fridge, what say you?
