Mend Renault Megane Scenic Fuel Problem

renault megane scenic 2001 fuel problem?

the car runs fine but when the fuel reaches quarter of a tank it keeps on cutting out,the engine stays running but the car wont pull for a few seconds,dangerous coming off roundabouts! noticed the tank is getting alot of suction when you remove the fuel cap
