Mend Renault Clio Starting Problem

Renault Clio 1998 wont start?

Had a leaking sunroof. Got this fixed but now my car wont start and my central locking key fob wont work. it works if i press the button in the car but not with the key.I cant turn off the immobiliser without pressing the button on the key.
Could the sensor for the key become broken from the water.how can it be fixed?

yes the receiver in the roof gets damaged easily when wet as all electrics.replace the receiver and put a bag over it so it will not get wet again.
