DS Game cards not being read?

my ds card was not being read (pokemon pearl) so i threw it at my computer desk which is made from soft wood then i tried it again and it worked

Yes I hate that problem........ I had it with a game called Digimon Dawn. What I would do first is not buy my ds online so i have the recipt( I dont know how to spell it.)borrow a friend's card that works. put the card in your ds and see if it works. If it does than its the cards fault if it doesnt than its the ds's fault

I have the same problem on my own ds. I was able to play a game called pokemon pearl for months but then one day it started saying "the data could not be read. Please turn off the power, then remove and reinsert the DS Game Card.". I did that but it still says that.

We have also had the same problem, but have 3 boys all with consoles. what I have found is that it is not the games card as the first thing I did was try the card in the other 2 machines. I would say keep pushing Nintendo. The console we have a problem with brings up the message; 'Save saver! Please Wait' so if anyone has any ideas on how to sole this problem would love to hear from them. life at homes a bit hellish as 2 boys are playing with their Ds's and the 3rd is left out.

I have the same problem, my son has a ds and it wouldnt read the games so I sent it to Nintendo for repair. They sent it back and it did the same again after two weeks, taking another game with it! So I sent it back again and it still wont read the games. Its not the games as I had bought new ones, but nintendo say its not the machine! I dont think they replaced the card reader, but they say that it is fine on their diagnostic machine!! I was going to buy a new machine, but where do you stop....new cards new machine.......I am pulling my hair out! Why wont they say that the games are faulty or the machine has wrecked the games. They just say it is very strange and they cannot understand it!!!! Having read such items on the bloggs, I think many people have the same problem and nintendo wont admit their fault.
