how can i fix my lights on a vauxhall corsa?

I picked up a l reg vauxhall corsa today (private sales) i have noticed that the left rear indictor makes the reserve lights flash and the brakelight. I have tryed it with the head lights on and off and it does not make a difference.The other indictor works fine. I think it is to do with the wiring? someone has put speakers in the back and not done a good job of the the wiring. I hope someone can help.

Only a guess mind you from probs with my Sierra rear light cluster.
Check the terminal block on the light cluster if its the same set up as the Ford Sierra, a plug in block onto fingers/fins on the light cluster, that may need cleaning. The block should pull off and clean it with an fine file or if it fits a cardboard type fingernail file.
