Not filling with water?

I have an intergrated Diplomat Dishwasher which has the error light flashing. The first time the programme was selected and the detergent box didn't open - it was a cold wash. The next night although the machine sounded as if it was working, the error light was flashing and pressing it 4 times did not work as the water was not getting through at all. Help?????
