How could I fix my sharp cash register ER-A610?

The machine is locked up, it's calling for the drawer to be closed, however closing the drawer doesn't help. Tried using the manager key, didn't change anything. unplugged it for a while, still no change. Any ideas would be appreciated.

the print head cable has opened the ground connnection. You need to replace the printhead cable. You need to be reasonably good at soldering. Thhis is a common problem. Also the printhead drivers on the main loic board may have opened. not as much of a possibility. by now the battery may have discharged and the machine has lost program

Not really a simple task this one. Really needs a professional engineer. Alternatively, you maybe able to pick up a cheap cash register off ebay and remove the printer.
