Mend Hotpoint WD23 Dryer Water Door

how do i drain away water on my hotpoint washer/dryer wd23?

I have a hotpoint wd23. It has done a wash and gone through the full cycle to the end but without draining away the water. Therefore the door is still locked and wont open for me to retrieve my clothes! I have tried putting it on another cycle to rinse/drain and spin but it is still full of water. What do you think has gone wrong and what shall I do next?
