Triton Opal 9.5?

Whilst having a shower I heard a bang and little bits of graphite like debris fell from the shower. I presumed that water had somehow got into the circuit board and blew the thing completely. I considered trying to get it repaired before realising it would probably be cheaper just to replace it with a new one. I am unsure whether to go for the Opal II or the Trance as I have had conflicting reports as to which is the best match as a straight replacement. Can anyone confirm which model to go for, and how difficult it is to replace?
