Mend Nissan Micra Reg

Nissan micra starting problems?

R reg micra always started 1st time,tried to start this morning and was turning over fine but would not connect or catch.
I removed some of the plug leads that connect to distributer and noticed some fine grey powder come out.
Any ideas please.

key turns and absoutly nothing the car was fine when parked up but now no lights on dash or anything battery is fully charged and after 30seconds alll the dash lights all start flashing ???

Can offer my 2p's worth if it helps. My wifes kept turning over but wouldn't catch. Googled around - turned out to be too much fuel coming through. I removed the fuse for the fuel pump, and a couple of turns of the motor was all it took to use the excess fuel. Then put the fuse back in! Worked first time, and not had problem since. Easy for me - hope same for you.
