Does a 52 plate 1.2 Renault clio have an alarm as standard?

i have a 52 plate clio. my fob for the central locking has never worked and i am not paying £130 to have it fixed if i dont need to. the problem is someone broke in to my car and stole everything. The repair work has now been done but i want to prevent them from doing it again without me knowing it. i was thinking of getting an alarm for it, but then my brother said it might already have one, and because the fob has never worked that i wouldnt know. if it has got an alarm then i'll pay for the new key but i need to know if it has one or not.
Do you know if it has one or if not, how do i find out if it has one.
